The vintage 4-input Marshall, just has that classic and rebellious rock tone we have all grown to love. It helped to define the classic hard rock tones of band and artists including AC/DC, Cream, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Free, Yngwie Malmsteen, and many more.

Mad Professor Loud´n Proud is a vintage 4-input Marshall in a box. It’s a compact pedal with a complete amp signal path replicated inside. Not only the preamp but also the power amp containing phase inverter, push-pull stage, and output transformer simulation. This internal structure makes the pedal not only sound but also behave like a real amp.

And like a vintage Marshall amp, the pedal has a moderate amount of gain. This is what led us to adding a boost/fuzz to this medium gain overdrive circuit. The pre boost has the capability of pushing 13dB, which adds a nice amount of gain to the pedal. It also thickens the midrange a bit so feel free to experiment with the boost also for a different voicing for the overall tone of the pedal. The fuzz is designed to work like a vintage germanium fuzz. By engaging the fuzz you can find a great variety of tones from a clean tone to a thick and warm fuzzy tones just by rolling the guitar volume. The vintage germanium fuzz + Marshall plexi is a classic tone combination that we absolutely wanted to include to the Loud ´n Proud pedal!

You will also find a switch for two different character voicings in the Loud´n Proud pedal: tighter bass and slightly compressed tone on the left with a looser bass including maximum dynamics on the right. If you love the vintage Marshall amp tone, you will also love this pedal. It’s the real deal for those who dare!

Not the most inexpensive powered whisker bur I've used other Typhor products and found them reliable for the task designed. I fell they don't cheap out on the rechargeable battery so I don't fell they will catch fire, as we are hearing about from other cheaper rechargeable items. I liked 2 things about this model the speed control is by a pressure single switch which I can control, not just pick speed 1,2,3. The swappable tips allow for different uses. I don't drink coffee but use the item to whisk eggs for an omelets and it has the torque to mix them without effort. In Fact need to only use half power else it will splatter out of my mixing vessel.

Before I purchase anything, I like to reach out to the seller first and find out more about the warranty. Elisa responded very quickly and explained the warranty to me. She also told me how to register my frother once I received it. My frother was delivered in the evening so I used it the following day. I didn't need to charge it because it already had a charge. It was easy to use and frothed my 2% milk and my flavored creamer perfectly. I am very happy with it, so far. To sum it up: 1) Elisa was responsive and genuinely seemed to care about her customers, which gave me confidence in making this purchase. 2) Frother works great with milk and milk products. 3) I'm glad I won't have to be replacing batteries. All I have to do is plug it in and I'll be good to go. Plus, the charging cord comes with it. If you are having doubts let me reassure you, you won't be sorry if you purchase it. I really think you'll like it. Edit #1: I have had this frother for less than 6 months. This is the 2nd time I have had to charge it; pretty impressive, huh? Each charge lasted for about 2 months! Unfortunately, when I went to use it the following day it was completely dead. The charge did not hold and I was unable to use it. Beyond worth it!

Before this, I used battery powered frothers and couldn’t keep up with replacing the batteries. As soon as the batteries began to lose their charge, the frothers weren’t powerful enough. Somehow, this doesn’t begin to lose its charge until the charge runs out. I’ve spent a fraction of the price buying this as I did on batteries. I got this in Aug 2024. It’s amazing and incredibly powerful. In a year, I charged it 3 times. If you don’t get the froth you’re looking for, I’d suggest you watch a video on how to froth correctly. I learned there’s a proper technique that really improves the outcome. It made a world of difference for me. The charge time advertised is not correct. It lasts much much much longer on one charge. After the charge died, I charged it for maybe an hour and then I used it to whisk thick body butter. When washing it, I got it too wet. The motor wouldn’t stop running, so I called it a loss and put it outside to let it run until it stopped. It ran for hours. Sometime during the night it shut off. The next day, I pressed the on button again and it ran the entire day. It has a warranty, but I never registered mine, so I don’t mind paying for a replacement since it is so inexpensive. I’m writing this review now because I liked it so much that I just purchased another one to replace it. I hope this helps. If you’re unsure: It is incredibly powerful, but has two speeds, so one will work for any frothing needs. The price is unbeatable, much less than you’ll spend on batteries. The charge lasts unbelievably long and stays just as powerful until the charge runs out. It is detachable, so washing it is really simple. Just wipe the top part.

*I bumped my rating from 3 to 4 stars because of the customer service. The seller's response to customer reviews is excellent. This particular model (MF05) still gets 3 stars from me, but the new version (MF09) is definitely a 5 star product. See update below.* Second Update: I received the new version (FoodVille MF09), and really like it. It solves the variable speed problem. Three speeds are still available, however, each has its own on/off switch, so no more cycling through. It also comes with an additional hook attachment for mixing powders with liquid, as well as a charging stand. It is a few dollars more, but most definitely worth it! The new version is FoodVille MF09, so be sure to check it out as it sounds better than the MF05 I have purchased and reviewed here. In addition to fixing the speed issue, they have included a charging dock. I've had this frother for a few months now. Overall, it works as well as my Aerolatte hand-held that died. I like that it is rechargeable, since I went through quite a lot of batteries before. My problem with this is the way you have to cycle through the speeds, rather than just selecting the one you want. This is a problem because sometimes I'll need to stop it before I'm finished and then when I resume it is on the next faster speed, which causes the milk to fly out of the glass before I can get back to the lower setting. I have ruined at least one shirt with stains from the flying milk. Also, because of where the on/off button is, and because of its sensitivity, I sometimes turn it off accidentally, which of course causes the milk to slosh everywhere getting back to the lower setting. I really wish you could just pick a speed, even if that means just a high and a low. I'm thinking of going back to a single speed frother. All but the lowest speed seems to be too strong to froth milk anyway. So, it works, it has good battery life, but cycling through the speeds has been a problem for me. I'll keep using it for now, but may be in the market for something different soon.
